Entrants could check their winning status on since May 1st 2011. 22,000 Entrants were selected to further process for applying the Green Card. Those people won in the Green Card Lottery. On May 13th, 2011, the Department of State announced, that the Lottery is void and will be redrawn again. It was claimed that a computer glitch selected 90% of all entrants of the first 2 days of lottery sign up. Those people will now have to hope again to win a second time this year, which will not likely happen for all of them.
